SHORT WAVES

THERMOPULSE is an electromedical shortwave diathermy device indicated for the treatment of various musculoskeletal disorders using capacitive and/or inductive electrodes.

Thermopulse

Key Features (Differentials)

Short wave diathermy is a safe, non-invasive thermotherapy technique that is more effective than superficial heat applications. Operates at a frequency of 27.12 MHz.

Intuitive, easy-to-read display with touchscreen interface.

Ergonomic cabinet with wheels (casters) that ease mobility.

Supports both capacitive and inductive electrodes, enabling safe and comfortable application tailored to each patient’s therapeutic needs.

Two application methods are available: inductive and capacitive.

Ability to program up to 10 individual protocols, enhancing clinical workflow efficiency.

Automatic tuning in any mode—ensuring maximum energy transfer to the patient throughout treatment.

Physiology

The high-frequency electromagnetic field induces heating of biological tissues through dipole rotation. When rapidly reversing electric fields are applied to polar molecules, they rotate; the resulting molecular friction generates heat.

Additional Information

Product Description

THERMOPULSE delivers intentional electromagnetic radiation as a radiofrequency-based shortwave diathermy for treating various conditions. Its ability to deeply penetrate tissues offers superior benefits compared to superficial heating methods. Usage is restricted to prescription and supervision by a licensed professional.

Application Methods

Inductive Method:

Uses a flat spiral coil to produce a high-frequency magnetic field.

Capacitive Method:

Uses rigid metal plates wrapped in plastic to produce a high-frequency electric field.

Coplanar (Parallel) Application: Electrodes placed on the same side of the treatment area for superficial structures.

Contraplanar (Transversal) Application: Electrodes on opposite sides for deeper tissue targeting.

Misaligned Contraplanar (Longitudinal) Application: Energy passes transversely through the treated tissues.
